Shayne Knight

Pianist & Band Leader

Shayne brings to Thanasis her experience from hundreds of performances as an accompanist, musical director, director, music coach and stage performer. She holds degrees in Music Education from both Fredonia and Syracuse University, is a band director in the Liverpool school district – where she's taught for 25 years – and is an accompanist for the Diocese of Syracuse.

Shayne's Syracuse theatre career as an accompanist began with The Talent Company in 1991, where she'd go on to music direct and play their first Empire Room production of Damn Yankees in 1994. Since then, she's been blessed to play for many companies, including: Syracuse University Drama; Cortland Repertory Theater; Salt City Center; Appleseed Productions; Wit's End Players; Rising Stars Children's Theater & many more! Most recently, she played Rent at the Redhouse Arts Center, directed by Broadway's Hunter Foster.
